What You'll Do

Tilbury Douglas is a leading UK building, infrastructure, engineering and fit-out company. We deliver vital projects across a range of sectors including health, education, water, defence, justice and civic and civil estate. Our schemes improve lives and strengthen communities.

You'll gain practical experience across a range of cyber security activities while working towards the Level 3 Cyber Security Technician Apprenticeship Standard.

No two days are the same and with the support of experienced colleagues, you'll:

• Support the monitoring and maintenance of security controls designed to protect company systems and information.
• Assist with identifying, investigating and escalating potential cyber security incidents.
• Help maintain cyber security policies, standards and procedures.
  Support information security audits and compliance reviews.
• Assist with maintaining security risk registers and tracking remediation activities.
• Help monitor vulnerabilities and support actions to reduce cyber security risks.
• Contribute to cyber security awareness campaigns and training activities across the business.
• Assist with access management processes, ensuring users have appropriate permissions.
• Support the management of security documentation, records and reporting.
• Work with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers to help maintain secure systems and services.
• Assist with the investigation of suspicious activity and contribute to incident response activities.
• Develop knowledge of security frameworks, legislation, standards and industry best practices.

Cyber security is critical to every modern organisation. This role provides an exciting opportunity to develop technical, analytical and problem-solving skills while helping to protect a leading construction business from evolving cyber threats.

With structured training, mentoring and hands-on experience, you'll build the foundations for a rewarding career in cyber security, information security, risk management or IT security operations.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have the skills and confidence to progress into a Cyber Security role, with opportunities to develop further within Tilbury Douglas.
