Description of role and key responsibilities

  • The efficient management of inbound customer account queries
  • Good written and verbal communication skills including complaint handling
  • Good time management skills/ability to multitask
  • Prioritise accordingly to work within department SLA's

Core skills and knowledge

  • Thinking critically and using initiative to resolve complaints
  • Managing multiple queries simultaneously
  • Ability to negotiate the best outcome and make decisions
  • Strong communication (verbal & written) and active listening
  • Empathy and ability to build rapport with customers
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Effective time management and organisation
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Analytical skills and client focus
  • Ability to identify, build and maintain strong relationships and communicate with key interfaces
  • To act with integrity at all times and embrace the philosophy of treating our customers fairly (compulsory)
  • Regulatory Knowledge as applicable to role (compulsory)
  • Coaching & Assessment (compulsory for Managers and Supervisors)

Technical knowledge

  • Understanding of lease and asset finance
  • AML/KYC requirements
  • Knowledge of Consumer Credit Act and other regulatory requirements
