Full Job Description

This position offers an excellent opportunity to become part of our team and provide support across the organisation. We pay an attractive salary of £27,694 - £29,064 and offer access to training and development opportunities. We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our busy Contact Centre Team as a Customer Service Centre Advisor. You will be the first point of contact for residents, handling a variety of enquiries across phone, email and digital channels. The role involves providing accurate information, resolving issues efficiently and delivering a consistently high-quality customer experience. You will work closely with service areas, including Housing Repairs, to ensure enquiries are managed effectively.

Strong communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential. If you enjoy helping people, we'd love to hear from you! For the role, we ask that you have:

  • A relevant Level 2 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales - for example, GCSE's Grade A - C, NVQ Level 2 in Customer Services.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a customer service or call centre environment.

Applications may be submitted in Welsh. Any application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application submitted in English.
  • We are legally required to ask you to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK. Successful applicants are required to provide appropriate documentation such as a birth certificate, passport or work permit in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. If you have any difficulty applying online, please contact for further information. Caerphilly County Borough Council does not receive applications submitted via the StudySmarter website. All applications must be submitted through our official Council website. This role requires a basic check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

We have excellent benefits including the Local Government Pension Scheme, agile working patterns and staff discount schemes.
