You'll be the voice of Milton Keynes City Council, helping people access vital services and ensuring every interaction is positive and professional. You'll manage incoming and outgoing contact with residents across telephone call, emails and online form submissions. This is a site-based role Interviews for this role will be held week commencing 11 & 18 May At Milton Keynes City Council, we aim to make a difference every day. - Manage incoming and outgoing customer contact across telephone, email and online forms.
- Support residents with a wide range of services including waste and environment, housing, school admissions and registration.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data protection and confidentiality.
- Provide assisted digital services for residents who need extra help accessing our services.
- Prepare and manage customer records on our corporate CRM system.
- Follow standardised processes for service requests, logging and tracking enquiries to resolution.
- Triage complaints and process councillor casework requests within agreed timescales.
You'll bring: - Awareness of IT systems and ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to gather and explain information clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, adapting to changing demands.
- Confidence to make decisions and manage tasks effectively.

'Site based' roles can include up to two days a week working from home whilst 'home based' roles are based at home four days a week.
