Curriculum Leader for Geography

A TLR 2b, currently £5,869 per annum has been determined as the appropriate rate for the role in line with the level of responsibilities outlined above. In accordance with School Teachers Pay Terms and Conditions Document, "a teacher cannot hold two TLRs concurrently (TLR 1 and 2). Where the successful candidate already holds an existing TLR, the TLR amount determined for this role will not automatically be awarded to the post holder (in addition to their existing TLR amount). The existing and additional role and level of responsibilities will be reviewed in line with the current TLR structure within the School/ Trust and may result in an alternative or no TLR amount being awarded., To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress.

To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.

To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Governing Body and Head Teacher of the school.

To be accountable for student progress and development within the curriculum area.

To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area.

Effectively to manage and deploy teaching/support staff, financial and physical resources within the curriculum area.
