Full Job Description

The ideal candidate must have the following:

  • Proven experience in SEND curriculum leadership within FE or a similar setting with successful proven track of management experience.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing strategic leadership for SEND / Inclusive Learning provision within post-16 education.
  • Significant experience in designing, sequencing, and reviewing student-centred SEND curricula.
  • Ability to develop ambitious, accessible programmes aligned to progression into employment, further study, and independent living.
  • Expertise in promoting high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment across SEND provision.
  • Experience of overseeing and supporting effective delivery of English and maths for SEND learners in collaboration with cross-college teams.
  • Substantial experience of line-managing teaching and support staff within SEND or Inclusive Learning.
  • Experience leading CPD, coaching, and performance management to develop inclusive teaching practice.
  • Experience leading self-assessment processes and quality improvement planning within SEND provision.
