Fixed Term Contract until 31/07/2028 Do you have experience working within the Higher Education sector, in an administrative support role? Do you have a strong understanding of undergraduate and postgraduate processes and procedures? If yes, then this fixed term role may be of interest. The Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS) is seeking a Curriculum and Assessment Officer, who will be responsible for the administration of the curriculum and assessment processes within KMMS. This role will involve providing administrative and organisational support in all aspects of assessment, examination and the programme curriculum. This role will report to, and deputise for, the Curriculum and Assessment Manager, and you will be required to support the Curriculum and Assessment Manager in operationalising delivery of the KMMS assessment strategy as well as ensuring a high-quality student experience for KMMS students. This role will involve working on both the University of Kent and the Canterbury Christ Church University campuses in Canterbury. As a Curriculum and Assessment Officer you can expect to be involved in:

  • Overseeing the delivery of the Curriculum and Assessment processes for the school, ensuring that all University and School policies are applied consistently and that processes are completed to deadline and records are accurate
  • Managing key workstreams, including but not limited to; Multi-Station Mini Interviews, Assessment, Curriculum and Student Choice
  • Acting as the key point of contact, resolving complex queries from students and stakeholders (including the Universities, NHS colleagues, and others) independently, escalating to the Curriculum and Assessment Manager and/or appropriate academic staff and stakeholders where necessary, ensuring that an efficient service is delivered, We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented at this level in this area

  • Substantial experience in an administrative support role with experience of student administration or equivalent experience in a busy office in an administrative role
  • Experience of working within the Higher Education sector and/or firm understanding of Higher Education administration
  • Line management/supervisory experience and the ability to motivate and supervise staff effectively
