Full Job Description
You will be supporting the Community Teams by providing efficient purchasing administration, ensuring equipment and supplies are available and ready for use by community service users, who need them.
This role includes, purchasing orders and process delivery notes, investigate any delivery discrepancies, while maintaining a monthly stock take and accurate data entry of supplies. In addition, you will be requesting quotes and add new suppliers and products to our procurement database. Build and maintain good working relationships with suppliers and use reporting tools to support purchasing analysis and respond professionally to enquires related to purchasing activities.
In Addition, you will be required to provide cover and support across other Business Support Team administrative areas during periods of holiday or sickness, including finance, service and maintenance, or other related functions.
To apply for this role, you will need GCSE Maths and English or relevant experience in purchasing or procurement. You will need good experience in reporting spreadsheets and Excel, Word and email. You must be able to demonstrate that you can manage a flexible work load and adapt to changing priorities and be able to communicate efficiently.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act "for the effective performance of a customer-facing role")., Potential applicants are sometimes put off if they don't meet 100% of the requirements.
