Full Job Description

Your team: This role sits within The Sun Marketing team, part of the wider Sun Customer Revenue Team. Whilst physical newspapers are still a key part of our business, driving digital subscriptions and audiences will be the key to future success. The customer is at the heart of everything we do and we are committed to creating long term loyal customers through driving engagement, improving customer experience and creating enhanced products that meet our customers evolving needs. Your role: Are you a hands-on CRM professional who thrives on diving into data platforms, building complex audiences, and executing flawless campaigns? As our CRM Data & Platform Executive, you will own the end-to-end technical delivery of our CRM campaigns, bringing data logic and multi-channel journeys to life for a major media brand. We are looking for a platform expert who is highly comfortable working within a CEP, CRM, or CDP to build target audience segments, query data tables, and technically execute lifecycle journeys. Day to day you will:

  • Query, segment, and build target audience tables using our data and delivery platforms based on marketing briefs to ensure accurate deployment logic.
  • Build, configure, and launch multi-channel campaigns and automated journeys, including triggered lifecycles and single-touchpoint push or email content.
  • Conduct rigorous end-to-end QA, testing, and proofing of every campaign to validate dynamic content logic and verify technical setups.
  • Apply strict naming conventions and UTM tracking parameters to ensure accurate performance measurement by the Data & Analytics team.
  • Monitor automated workflows, delivery rates, and performance reporting to optimize future sends and flag any data discrepancies immediately.
  • Partner with creative and strategic stakeholders to technically execute split tests and turn marketing briefs into high-performing campaigns.

Proven experience working heavily inside a modern Customer Engagement Platform (CEP), CRM, or Customer Data Platform (CDP) such as Adobe Campaign, Braze, or Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong technical background querying data tables and building segmented lists, with familiarity or experience in SQL being highly advantageous.
  • Dedication to hands-on execution, showing comfort with building audiences, proofing messages, setting up logic, and generating reports.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, bringing precision to checking links, targeting rules, and managing technical deployments.
  • Adaptability in a fast-paced environment, maintaining strong accuracy and staying grounded while delivering high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, making it easy for you to align effectively with both technical data teams and creative teams.
  • If you think you have what it takes but don't tick every requirement on the list, please do apply. We recognise that considering someone's potential as well as their experience is a great way to hire. We want to hear from people who have a passion to learn and develop.
