Full Job Description
Middlesex University is seeking an experienced, efficient, and strategic CRM Communications Manager.
They will lead the development and delivery of high-impact, data-driven communications which support student recruitment, engagement, and retention. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a major CRM transformation programme as we migrate from legacy systems to a new enterprise solution.
You will ensure continuity of service during migration, while optimising communications through enhanced automation, segmentation, and personalisation capabilities. Leading a team of CRM professionals, you will design and manage end-to-end communication journeys across email, SMS, telephone, and other outbound channels. Your campaigns will focus on strengthening engagement with all prospective students, in order to convert enquiries into applications, and applicants into enrolled students.
Working closely with admissions, marketing and recruitment teams, you will create compelling nurture campaigns, oversee audience segmentation and lead scoring, and ensure all communications align with the University's brand, tone of voice, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR and CMA guidance., We value diversity and strive to create a fairer, more equitable work environment for our staff and students.

You will also be responsible for reporting and performance management, using data and insights to test, measure, and continuously improve campaign effectiveness. A strong understanding of competitor activity and sector trends will help shape innovative communication strategies and maintain our competitive edge. This is a fast-paced environment and will often require working to deadlines while maintaining high quality and impact.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in CRM and email marketing platforms, campaign automation, and stakeholder management, alongside excellent copywriting and analytical skills. They will be highly organised and able to work well under pressure, while leading, managing and motivating a growing team.
