Crispin, Ashover - Chesterfield
RUN THE CRISPIN, ASHOVER, DERBYSHIRE
Signature Wet Agreement
Overview:
The Crispin is a beautifully presented stone-built pub in the heart of Ashover, a historic village on the edge of the Peak District. Known for its welcoming atmosphere, established dining offer and strong community presence, it attracts locals, walkers, day-trippers and tourists throughout the year. Trading at approximately £3,500 per week with an 80/20 wet-led sales mix, this is an excellent opportunity for an operator to build on solid foundations and unlock further growth through food, events and community engagement.
The business:
The pub offers a traditional wet-led bar, a separate dining area and a versatile function space to the rear which is ideal for private events, village gatherings and community groups. Convenient parking is available both to the front and rear of the property, providing easy access for guests travelling from surrounding villages and nearby towns. Key strengths include its prime Peak District location, strong local reputation and well-balanced mix of regular village trade and visitor footfall.
The opportunity:
Following an operator transition, the next operator has the chance to grow The Crispin into an even stronger village destination. The strongest growth priorities are developing the food offer through consistent delivery of the company menu, increasing community engagement through events and local partnerships, and building a targeted marketing plan to capture more tourist and destination dining trade from the surrounding Peak District area.
Who we're looking for:
We're looking for an operator, couple or management team with strong hospitality experience across both front and back of house operations. You'll be passionate about delivering excellent premium branded food, confident in building relationships within the local community and commercially minded when it comes to marketing and driving sales. This opportunity would particularly suit an experienced General Manager looking to take their first step into self-employment while benefiting from the support of an established business model.
What's in it for you?
Receive 25% of weekly sales excluding VAT, plus a guaranteed annual retained sum of £25,000 released weekly. Low ingoing costs start with just a £5,000 deposit and £360 legal cost. Separate owner's accommodation is included, with most bills covered except council tax and TV Licence.
Ready to take the next step?
Run The Crispin and build on its strong village reputation while creating a thriving destination for both locals and visitors. If you're ready to take ownership of your own business and make your mark in one of Derbyshire's most attractive villages, enquire today.
