Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and dedicated Crisis Recovery Worker to join our established Barnsley Support Hub team. The service is a non-clinical, out-of-hours mental health crisis support service for adults experiencing emotional distress, trauma or who may be at risk of self-harm or suicide. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will provide immediate, person-centred support to people accessing the service, The service is a non-clinical, out-of-hours mental health crisis support service for adults experiencing emotional distress, trauma or who may be at risk of self-harm or suicide. Working as part of a small, supportive team, you will provide immediate, person-centred support to people accessing the service, helping them to feel heard, understood and safer during times of crisis. The service is open Thursday to Monday, 6pm to 11pm, and you will work from our Barnsley Support Hub. You will provide emotional support, information and guidance through face-to-face, telephone and video contact. You will assess situations to identify risk and support needs, contribute to individual risk assessments and develop appropriate safety plans and action plans with the people accessing the service. You will also work closely with colleagues, external agencies and partner organisations to ensure people receive appropriate support and are connected with services that can meet their wider needs.
