Job title and organisation: Criminal Justice Support Practitioner - Progress To Change, Progress to Change is a Leeds-based charity that operates two Independent Approved Premises (IAPs): Ripon House, a 22-bed facility for women, and Cardigan House, a 26-bed facility for men. These facilities serve individuals released from prison on licence, primarily those assessed as high risk, under the supervision of probation practitioners. The charity's mission is to assist and rehabilitate some of the most vulnerable members of society focusing on providing structured support and purposeful activities aimed at resettlement within the community. Progress to Change operates in close partnership with the Ministry of Justice and the Probation Service, and is a member of the National Approved Premises Association (NAPA). Every day, people leave prison determined to make a fresh start. The journey isn't always easy, but with the right support it can be life-changing. At Progress to Change, we're looking for passionate, resilient and compassionate Criminal Justice Support Practitioners to join our team within one of our Approved Premises. This is a rewarding opportunity to work alongside people leaving custody, helping them to build stability, independence and a positive future. No two days are the same. You'll be supporting residents, managing risk, encouraging engagement with services, promoting wellbeing, and helping individuals navigate the challenges of returning to the community. We're looking for people who:

  • Believe people can change, This is a full-time position working a rota that includes day shifts, evening shifts, waking nights, weekends and bank holidays, ensuring our service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
