CRHTT Team Leader

In conjunction with other members of the management team, to lead in the development and implementation of the Crisis Resolution and Home treatment Team (CRHTT) providing a high-quality service to meet the needs of people in acute phases of mental illness, and their carers. To ensure the continued efficient and effective management of the team, providing leadership and supervision to a multi-disciplinary staff group. The postholder will act in support of the CRHTT Manager, deputising and carrying out delegated roles, duties and responsibilities as required, as part of the Sector team Management structureMain duties of the job Operational management - Provide Operational Management of a Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team with responsibility for a 24-hour, 7 day a week service. Service provision - Ensure involvement in the co-ordination, liaison and integration of activities from other services or agencies in the provision of a CPA package. Participate in risk assessment and risk management activities . Maintain service activities in line with the agreed referral and assessment criteria. Provide a flexible service, 24 hour, 7 days a week. To develop the service in line with NSF guidelines (and their successors) and Trust strategy., Provide strong clinical leadership and supervision to crisis team staff (nurses, support workers, therapists, etc.).Ensure the delivery of evidence-based, person-centered care in line with national and local standards. Support complex clinical decision-making and risk management. Lead on safeguarding, risk assessment, and crisis intervention planning. Oversee the day-to-day running of the crisis service, ensuring adequate staff cover and resource allocation. Monitor and manage caseloads to ensure safe and effective service delivery. Ensure timely responses to referrals, assessments, and crisis contacts. Maintain service performance against key targets (e.g., response times, admission avoidance). Line manage team members, including supervision, appraisal, and performance management. Support staff wellbeing and resilience in a high-pressure environment. Identify training and development needs and facilitate ongoing professional development. Promote multidisciplinary working and collaboration.

• RMN- Dip / BSc (Hons) in Mental Health Nursing or,Occupational Therapy Degree/ Diploma or Dip SW/CQSW or equivalent
Desirable criteria
• Cert or Dip in Management Relevant skills-based training
• BSc Community Specialist Practitioner, Graduate Specialist MHL training, Significant and relevant experience of working with people with acute mental illness
• Multi-professional working/case management
• Service development and Change Management
• Contributing to Operational Policy
• Bio-Psycho-social models of care
• Knowledge of physical health contributions to Mental Health issues, difficulties and assessment
• Significant experience of community-focused care
Desirable criteria
• Management/leadership of a multi-professional service
• Experience of working in Crisis Resolution/Home Treatment Services or Mental Health Liaison Services.
• Multi-disciplinary management experience, Clear understanding of aims and processes of Crisis Resolution/ Home Treatment within the context of Community and Acute Mental Health provision
• An understanding of the needs of people with acute mental health problems
• The ability to provide and implement an appropriate needs-led assessment
• The ability to lead a multi- professional team and provide ongoing operational, clinical and professional supervision
• Budget and resource management
• Complex knowledge of legislation and policy regarding the provision of Mental Health care/services and other relevant legislation, You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
