Credit Risk Analyst

This role sits within our Financial & Credit Risk function where our mission is to provide robust risk management solutions for our three product lines (Unsecured Loans, Motor Finance and Mortgages). The role sits within the Credit Policy and Oversight team and is responsible for providing independent risk oversight of credit strategies across lending portfolios, ensuring lending decisions align with risk appetite, policy and regulatory requirements. Working across multiple lending products, the role provides an opportunity to partner closely with 1st line Credit and Pricing teams, using data and analytics to support effective risk management, responsible lending and sustainable business growth. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring lending remains both commercially successful and customer-focused across multiple product lines. Responsibilities

• Provide independent risk oversight of credit strategies across our three lending portfolios.
• Partner with 1st line Credit and Pricing teams to ensure lending decisions align with risk appetite and policy.
• Use advanced analytics to conduct deep-dive reviews and identify emerging portfolio trends.
• Shape and enhance credit policies that protect both the business and its customers.
• Lead thematic reviews to ensure consistent application of risk frameworks.
• Assess proposed strategy changes against regulatory requirements and risk appetite.
• Champion robust controls and governance across lending operations.
• Provide crucial second-line challenge and insights to support risk management.

  Essential
• 2+ years credit risk experience in consumer lending.
• Strong SQL coding knowledge.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills.
Desirable
• Deep understanding of FCA CONC, MCOB and consumer credit regulation.
