Experteer Overview In this Credit Officer role within the FI Credit - Insurance team, you will conduct independent credit analysis and advise on lending, trading limits, and internal ratings for insurance clients. You will work closely with Coverage and Product teams to enable business growth while maintaining risk discipline. The role focuses on the Insurance sector (Brokers, Life and Non-life insurance, Lloyd's of London) with ongoing portfolio management and risk oversight. You have the opportunity to develop toward delegated credit authority and make independent credit decisions within the mandate, shaping risk strategy across the portfolio. Pay / Benefits
- Lead a portfolio of Insurance clients with forward-looking risk assessment and monitoring Contribute to sector strategy, appetite, credit policies, and processes for the portfolio Build relationships with Coverage and Product teams to enable cross-functional collaboration Own data integrity and drive simplification initiatives Develop understanding of market and counterparty risk dynamics related to traded products Monitor portfolio risks, concentrations, and sector developments, recommending mitigations Support onboarding and development of junior team members and uphold underwriting standards Tasks Strong understanding of Insurance business models, regulatory environment, capital frameworks and key risk drivers Robust ability to analyze financial and non-financial aspects of Insurance firms Excellent credit writing skills to present risks and recommendations clearly Knowledge of traded products and related risk calculations and exposure mitigation Good communication skills to explain complex concepts clearly Self-motivation and ability to learn quickly and up-skill on new products/sectors Key requirements Pension contribution up to 15% Annual performance-related bonus Share schemes including free shares 30 days' holiday plus bank holidays Wellbeing initiatives Generous parental leave policies
