CQC Positive Behavior Support Practitioner

As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner, youll play a key role in helping the people we support achieve positive outcomes and an improved quality of life. Youll work across our services, supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs and helping teams understand the reasons behind behaviour and how best to provide proactive, person-centred support. This is a varied and rewarding role where youll combine specialist behavioural assessment, PBS planning, staff coaching, training, quality improvement and restrictive practice reduction. • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBAs), behavioural observations and assessments
• Reviewing PBS plans and evaluating their effectiveness through outcome measures
• Supporting services to implement proactive and preventative behavioural strategies
• Supporting complex admissions, transitions and placements
• Developing crisis prevention and response strategies where appropriate
• Working with families, advocates and multidisciplinary professionals
• Coaching managers and frontline colleagues in the practical application of PBS principles
• Delivering PBS training, workshops and refresher sessions
• Facilitating reflective practice following significant incidents
• Supporting the delivery of training to frontline teams
• Monitoring the implementation of PBS plans across services
• Conducting PBS audits and practice observations
• Supporting services to develop action plans and improve outcomes
• Championing least restrictive approaches across Isabella's Homes services
• Identifying opportunities to reduce restrictive interventions
• Supporting teams to develop positive alternatives to restrictive practices
• Ensuring restrictions are appropriately reviewed, justified, documented and monitored
• Analysing behavioural data and outcome measures
• Producing assessment reports and PBS recommendations
• Complete functional behavioural assessments for individuals with behaviours that challenge
  
  Isabellas Homes is a supported living accommodation catering to individuals who require support, may have had a mental health diagnosis, learning disabilities, special educational needs (SENs), and clients who may have been previously detained under the Mental Health Act/S117.
