Cover Supervisor (Secondary)

The Role: We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students stay on task., + Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
+ Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students complete assigned work.
+ Manage student behavior and ensure a safe, orderly classroom environment.
+ Provide support to individual students where necessary.
+ Ensure a high standard of safeguarding and student welfare at all times.
+ Assist with other duties as required, such as exam invigilation or supporting school events.

+ A strong commitment to education and student development.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ The ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
+ Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
+ Previous experience working with young people (experience in an educational setting is desirable).
+ A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics; further qualifications in education or a related field are a plus.
+ Expereince working with children in a school setting.
