Full Job Description

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences, delivering work set by the regular class teacher
  • Maintaining a focused and supportive atmosphere to help students stay on task
  • Responding to any immediate issues in line with school policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Collecting completed assignments and returning materials to the appropriate teacher
  • Assisting as a Teaching Assistant when cover is not needed, supporting students across the curriculum

  • We are particularly interested in candidates available across 5 days per week, but we're happy to be flexible for the right person.We're looking for someone who:
  • Is confident and proactive in supporting students' academic progress and personal development
  • Has a strong presence in the classroom with solid behaviour management skills
  • Brings enthusiasm, positivity, and a collaborative mindset to the team
  • Is committed to helping deliver a high-quality learning environment, A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff
  • Experience working with young people is beneficial, though not essential - enthusiasm and commitment go a long way
