Full Job Description

  • Supervise lessons during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged with set work.
  • Promote high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Support students' learning, encouraging participation, independence and inclusion.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on learning and behaviour.
  • Assist with student supervision and contribute to the wider life of the academy

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) and a Level 3 Cover Supervision, HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience of supervising children in a school environment and supporting a range of learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Confidence using ICT and a good understanding of how children learn and develop

    Pay range: SCP 12-17 - £25,982.89 - £28,185.21 - FTE: £29,542.00 - £32,046.00 - 37 Hours, 39 Weeks - Maternity Cover, Financial and Lifestyle We offer a strong financial package including access to defined benefit pension schemes (LGPS or TPS), life cover at three times pensionable pay, and 31 days of annual leave for year-round employees.
