Full Job Description
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task
- Deliver pre-set lessons and provide clear instructions to support learning
- Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
- Support pupils with varied learning needs, including SEN
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
Foundry Lane Primary School is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join our team, supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school, working with teachers to with teachers to plan, organise and support teaching and learning activities for classes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference, thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to a school where pupils feel valued, motivated and supported to achieve their very best. This role requires flexibility, teamwork and a proactive approach. In return, you'll be part of a supportive school environment where your contribution truly matters., - NVQ 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Level 2 qualifications in maths/numeracy and English/literacy
- Experience working with students in a formal setting
- Experience of delivering whole class teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage behaviour calmly and confidently
- Good organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly
- Commitment to supporting pupils' learning and development
