If so, Newcastle College would love to hear from you.We are seeking two enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Lecturers to join our highly successful Business, Education and Service Industries Faculty on a full-time fixed-term basis until 28 June 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to work across a diverse and vibrant curriculum that includesBusiness, Hair, Beauty, Hospitality, Catering, Early Years and Travel.The role has been created to ensure continuity of learning and maintain an exceptional student experience during periods of staff absence.As a Cover Lecturer, you will need to be flexible, responsive and confident stepping into lessons at short notice. Working from existing lesson plans and resources, you will engage learners, maintain high expectations and
create a positive learning environment where students can continue to make progress regardless of changes to staffing.We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with young people and who understand the difference that great education can make to a student's future. You will be patient, empathetic and resilient, with the ability to quickly build positive relationships with learners and colleagues alike. Exceptional communication skills, a calm and professional approach, and a positive outlook are essential. Whether supporting a creative arts workshop, facilitating a digital technologies lesson, or guiding learners through independent activities, you will be committed to ensuring every student remains engaged, motivated and supported.The successful candidates will be highly organised and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities. You will be comfortable working across different curriculum areas, collaborating closely with teaching teams and contributing to a culture
of high standards, inclusion and student success.We welcome applications from experienced teachers, industry professionals with relevant sector experience, and individuals who have experience supporting learning in educational or training environments.
