Full Job Description
All three courses have online portfolios for you to complete, including multiple choice questions and case study questions. Each course will have different assessment methods:
- Assistant Test User - administering and scoring a verbal reasoning test to one candidate.
- Occupational Test User: Ability - providing oral feedback to one candidate on their verbal reasoning test scores.
- Occupational Test User: Personality - providing oral feedback to two candidates on their Managerial and Professional Profiler (MAPP) scores., This qualification is highly valuable for professionals working in HR departments, employment agencies or Occupational Psychology consultancies offering testing services, whose role involves testing for personnel selection, development or career guidance and advice. When you successfully complete this course you will have:
- A nationally recognised qualification in test use, recognised by employers throughout the UK, and increasingly internationally
- Membership of the British Psychological Society's Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU)
- Qualification to administer, score and feedback ability tests

Whilst this does mean elements of your course may change in future academic years, it ensures your course is giving you a research-inspired education and preparing you for your future.Occupational Test User: PersonalityOccupational Test User: Personality This course enables you to make choices between questionnaires and to determine when to use or not use questionnaires; have an understanding of the technical qualities required of questionnaires sufficient for understanding but not for construction; work independently as a questionnaire user; have the necessary knowledge and skills to interpret specific questionnaires. Successful completion of this course qualifies you to administer, score and feedback the Managerial and Professional Profiler (MAPP). MAPP is an integrated questionnaire which explores both personality and motivational dimensions. Whilst other questionnaires give an insight into underlying personality traits and behavioural preferences, MAPP includes the important fourth dimension of values and motivation. MAPP has been designed specifically for use with managerial and professional populations. It is appropriate when assessing high potential graduates, managers, senior executives and professionals at all levels. Characteristics measured include:

There are no entry requirements; however a background in HR, recruitment, or psychology would be beneficial.English Language Requirements There are no English language requirements although a good grasp of the English language would be beneficial., This course provides you with knowledge about the basic principles of scaling and standardisation, norm-referenced interpretation, classical test theory and IRT. You will learn about administering tests to candidates and the validity and utility of occupational assessments. The course focuses on relating assessment to job requirements, when tests should or should not be used, and how to provide written and oral feedback on ability tests. Test Users Ability are able to make choices between tests and to determine when to use or not use tests; have an understanding of the technical qualities required of tests sufficient for understanding but not for test construction; work independently as a test user; have the necessary knowledge and skills to interpret specific tests. Successful completion of this course qualifies you to administer, score and feedback all occupational ability tests.
