Full Job Description

We require a part-time Country Park Warden to help maintain the site and its facilities in a clean, safe and attractive state through litter picking, cleaning the toilets and carrying out minor repairs, keeping the lake clear of debris, assisting and guiding visitors, enforcing site rules and reporting problems to the ranger team.

You will work alternate weeks. Hours are:

2 hour per day Mon-Fri, 5 hours Saturdays and 5 hours Sunday and Bank Holidays in winter

4 hours per day Mon-Fri, 5 hours Saturdays and 6 hours Sundays and Bank Holidays in summer.

The site needs to be opened at 8:30am and closed at dusk, on weekends this role involves 3 visits to the site.

You will be reliable and possess good interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude towards customer care. A flexible attitude to working hours is required and your health should be appropriate to the needs of the role. An ability to attend the site at short notice is required.

This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
