Full Job Description

  • As a senior modeller, you will autonomously develop models, add new features to our countermeasure software, and solve customer challenges and requirements.
  • You will manage technical work for junior team members and may provide line management for some junior engineers.
  • You will analyse, design, model, and verify countermeasure techniques across a variety of real-world scenarios, culminating in delivery to customers for operational use.
  • Capture modelling requirements and ensure timely delivery against these.

    Detailed understanding of Physics/Mathematical principles at degree-level.
  • Experience with at least one of Electro-Optics (EO), Infra-Red (IR), or Radio Frequency (RF) sensors and systems within a defence setting.
  • Experience using programming software (MATLAB/Simulink/Python, etc.).
  • Experience in at least two stages of model development (Design, Build, Integration, Test, Deployment, etc.).
  • Understanding of modelling techniques (stochastic, deterministic, exploratory, etc.).
  • Ability to generate simulation requirements, configuration, and analysis reports.
  • Must be a UK National eligible to work in the UK and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Check (SC) clearance.
