Counter Sales Assistant

We are currently looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at Branch. This is a hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of the action - helping customers, handling products, and keeping everything running smoothly.

What you'll do:

Deliver excellent face-to-face and telephone customer service.
Assist customers with sales, enquiries, and product advice.
Process transactions accurately for both account and cash sales.
Keep shelves replenished and stock well presented.
Pick and prepare orders for collection or delivery.
Help unload supplier vehicles and check goods received.
Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
Assist with stock control, including regular stock takes.
Support merchandising and store layout when required.

Previous experience in retail, builders' merchants, or a trade counter environment is an advantage-but not essential.

Hours of work: An average of 40.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.30am - 4.30pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00am until 12.00pm.
