We have an exciting opportunity at Holy Cross College for a Counsellor to join the team based in Bury. You will join us on a part-time / term-time basis. This role is part time and full details of the work pattern and role can be found in the attached recruitment pack. The experience and skills required are:
- Relevant Level 4 counselling qualification or higher (or equivalent)
- BACP/ACC (or equivalent) accreditation and registration
- Experience of counselling
- Familiarity with issues which affect young people and may require counselling support.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding legislation and guidance.
- An excellent record of attendance and punctuality
- Commitment to the ethos of the College
- Positive attitude
- Ability to hit deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, orally and written
- Excellent presentational skills, orally and written
- Excellent organisational and planning skills
- Ability to relate well with staff and students
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good team working skills
- Ability to motivate staff and students
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Time management skills
- Problem solving skills
