Full Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic applicant to work as Councillor Casework Officer, providing confidential administrative support to councillors and to ensure the effective management of their casework. The Casework Officer will lead on a number of processes and systems to ensure that councillors are able to carry out their roles effectively, and support improved outcomes for residents.
As part of the Councillor Services team, you will provide support to the the full councillor cohort, with the opportunity to work across a range of processes and projects the service delivers, such as councillor inductions. You will possess a flexible approach, with the ability to work under your own initiative, demonstrate solid administrative experience, and to build rapport quickly and confidently with senior stakeholders and officers across the council's services.
We are looking for applicants who are organised, can communicate professionally and have a genuine interest in delivering quality service for councillors and for residents.
As a public authority, we must ensure that members of staff in public-facing roles are able to speak fluent English. This means that they must have a command of spoken English, with confidence and accuracy, sufficient for the effective performance of their role.
