Full Job Description

The Council Tax Arrears and Corporate Debt Manager is a senior operational role responsible for leading a high-profile service that recovers over £64m of council income each year. You will manage the Council Tax Arrears and Corporate Debt Team, act as the council's technical expert in this area, oversee enforcement and court recovery activity, and drive service improvement, efficiency and positive customer outcomes. You will also deputise for the Head of Revenues when required.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering debt recovery within a local authority environment, with strong knowledge of council tax legislation and recovery practice. You will be an effective people manager with proven performance leadership skills, excellent analytical ability and strong communication skills, including experience advising senior leaders and elected members.
