Experteer Overview As Director, you will shape and lead Saffery's national company secretarial offering, driving strategic growth and delivering complex engagements. You will collaborate with partners across service lines to embed governance and compliance into client propositions, while developing people, processes and technology. This role combines leadership, technical expertise and commercial acumen to expand the firm's market profile and client base. You will serve as a trusted adviser to organisations from owner-managed to large international groups, ensuring outstanding client service and regulatory compliance. Pay / Benefits
- Lead and define the national company secretarial offering and align with client needs Develop and implement the strategic growth plan for secretarial services nationally Identify opportunities to grow revenue and profitability Collaborate with cross-service-line teams to embed secretarial services into client propositions Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the service line Monitor regulatory developments and market trends to stay market-leading Act as senior technical resource for company secretarial matters Oversee a portfolio of secretarial clients ensuring high-quality service and relationships Provide strategic governance and compliance advice to clients Deliver and manage complex secretarial assignments and transactions Oversee statutory books maintenance, filings, statements and share transactions Manage risk and quality control across engagements Respond to complex technical queries and ensure policy compliance Take responsibility for financial performance of the service line Tasks Chartered Governance Institute (CGIUKI) qualified, legally qualified, or equivalent professional qualification and/or substantial relevant experience Significant company secretarial experience in a professional services environment Experience leading a company secretarial function or service line Experience with international groups and overseas structures Extensive knowledge of the Companies Act and UK governance framework Proven ability to lead complex engagements and advise on technical matters Experience implementing and optimising company secretarial software Demonstrable experience of managing and developing teams Strong commercial awareness and business development capability Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management Strong project management and organisational skills Ability to influence senior stakeholders including Partners and board members Key requirements 35 hour working week hybrid working policy contributory pension scheme 27 days annual leave Life Assurance cover flexible benefits and family-friendly policies
