Full Job Description

Wells Fargo is seeking a VP Trader in High Grade Credit Trading (Corporates) to join our EMEA Credit Trading team. In this role, you'll provide market liquidity, support client investment strategies, and actively manage credit risk across the corporate bond landscape. You'll help drive revenue, strengthen client relationships, and maintain the highest standards of governance and risk management. You'll also collaborate across the business to generate new opportunities, contribute to the growth of electronic trading in EMEA, and apply your credit market and risk expertise to deliver strong trading ideas and execution. At Wells Fargo, you'll join a collaborative, client-focused culture grounded in integrity, strong governance, and long-term partnership. In this role, you will:

  • Actively make markets in Corporate Credit Bonds, monitor trading books, and manage associated risks.
  • Work closely with Credit Sales to support client flow and build relationships.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance strong client connections.
  • Engage with other Wells Fargo businesses to generate new opportunities, including supporting origination efforts.
  • Utilise Fixed Income electronic trading platforms and contribute to market development within the broader EMEA Credit Trading business.
  • Leverage knowledge of the credit markets, electronic trading, and risk management to drive trading ideas and execution.
  • Stay up-to-date with Wells Fargo's products, services, and client needs to support the firm's broader trading and origination strategies.
  • Contribute to Corporate analysis, modelling, and management information (MI) reporting as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards, adhering to Wells Fargo's risk and conduct framework., Employees support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

    Experience in Securities Trading, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, especially the Credit markets.
  • Experience in Securities Trading or similar, including experience in financial modelling and relative value analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

You must always remain fit and proper to perform your role, and this will be assessed on at least an annual basis.
