Corporate Property Health & Safety Manager

Oxford City Council is seeking an experienced and proactive Corporate Property Health & Safety Manager to lead health and safety management across our diverse portfolio of non-housing assets. This pivotal role will provide expert leadership and assurance on all aspects of property-related health and safety, ensuring statutory compliance and the effective management of risks associated with buildings, land, facilities operations, maintenance activities and capital projects.
The successful candidate will develop and oversee risk assessments, safe systems of work, permit-to-work processes, accident and incident investigations, contractor management and CDM compliance arrangements. Working closely with senior managers, project teams and contractors, you will drive continuous improvement, promote a positive safety culture, and ensure robust monitoring, reporting and governance frameworks are in place to protect people, property and the Council's reputation.
