Akari Care is seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join their team in Austerson. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating nutritious and visually appealing meals for the residents, catering to their individual dietary and cultural needs. They will also have the opportunity to lead and develop a team, contributing to the overall care and wellbeing of the residents.

As the Cook, you will play a pivotal role in the daily lives of our residents. You will have the autonomy to create menus, plate up, and arrange food trolleys in an attractive manner to stimulate the residents' appetite and enthusiasm for mealtimes. You will also be responsible for coaching and developing a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have a City & Guilds 706 1&2 or equivalent qualification, a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, and previous experience as a Head Chef or Head Cook in a similar environment. Additionally, you should possess strong leadership and communication skills, a caring nature, and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the residents and the team.
