Cook / Chef

We are looking for a full time cook/chef to join our team at a traditional country pub in Sundridge, Kent that is currently under refurbishment. Reopening date is 7 October, but we are looking for someone to come onboard and join the team asap for training, familarisation, preparing the kitchen etc.

Your main job role will be preparing and cooking a set menu of a traditional homemade dishes to a high standard, following menu and cooking specifications; no need to create menus or chef/daily specials as menus are all predefined and straightforward. Ensuring consistency, quality and presentation will be key. Maintaining a clean, safe working environment in line with hygiene regulations is extremely important. Dishes are portioned controlled, cooked to order and plated according to given specifications to ensure consistency.

We are looking for someone with a passion for food and a strong work ethic. Previous experience in a similar setting is preferred, managing food order tickets to ensure dishes are prepared and plated in a timely manner. Some stock management will be required, full support and kitchen assistance will be given, but someone who is able to manage own workloads and work independently when required, would be preferred.
