Conveyancer / Property Lawyer, Manchester Office

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancer / Property Lawyer to join our growing property team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) in residential conveyancing.

The successful candidate will manage their own caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion, while providing exceptional client service. Experience in supporting and mentoring junior team members would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including:
  
  
  
  • Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  
  
  • Remortgages
  
  
  • Transfers of equity
  
  
  • New build purchases
  
  
  • Shared ownership transactions
  
  
  • Help to Buy and other scheme-related matters
  
  
  • Building Safety Act/tall buildings experience
  
  
  
  


• Provide clear, practical legal advice to clients throughout the transaction process.


• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, brokers, developers, and other solicitors.


• Review and prepare legal documentation, contracts, searches, reports on title, and completion statements.


• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and risk management requirements.


• Maintain accurate case records and update case management systems.


• Deliver a high standard of client care and contribute to the firm's reputation for excellent service.


• Support the development of team members and share technical knowledge where appropriate.


• Assist with the supervision, training, and mentoring of junior conveyancers, paralegals, and support staff.

Skills and Experience

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive.


• Minimum 2 years' PQE in residential conveyancing.


• Proven ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision.


• Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures.


• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.


• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.


• Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving.


• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality work.


• Experience mentoring, coaching, or supervising junior members of a conveyancing team.


• Knowledge of case management systems and legal technology platforms.


• Experience handling more complex transactions, including leasehold, new build, and shared ownership matters.


• Business development or networking experience.
