Contracts / Estimating Apprentice

Introduction

We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our closely knit team in Sunderland to help the company function within the works/ office / site. The individual will be mentored by an experienced employee / director of the business. This will be an opportunity to forge a career within the industry.

About the Employer

Harry Marsh (Engineers) Ltd are an award winning structural steel construction company with over 50 years of experience in the design, fabrication and erection of large steel framed buildings ranging from 20 tonnes up to 750 tonnes.

What You'll Do

•  Gain a basic understanding of structural steelwork fabrication & erection.
• Learning the Estimating and Contracts Management function within the business.
• Supporting management staff in their duties.
• Supporting the design and drawing of buildings within the office and shop floor.
• Learning the primary functions of the fabrication facility
• Attending client meetings with senior staff.
• General staff functions within the business to aid other members of the team.
• Understanding of design and drawings from engineers.
• Full training and support will be given to the successful applicant.

Training Outcome

There may be the possibility of a permanent position for the right person at the end of the apprenticeship.
