Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Contract Business Partner to join our team and play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality services across CityCare., This is a senior position with responsibility for managing a portfolio of contracts and subcontracts, leading on performance monitoring, supporting contract negotiations, and working closely with commissioners, clinical leaders and partner organisations. The role will also contribute to business planning, service development, tender submissions and strategic improvement work., The postholder will be responsible for effective management of a defined portfolio of contracts and subcontracts, ensuring robust oversight of service, quality, activity and financial performance. They will lead on the monitoring, analysis and reporting of contractual performance and will ensure that all contract documentation is maintained in line with current NHS standard contract requirements.

The postholder will act as a key liaison between CityCare, commissioners and partner organisations, supporting contract negotiation, performance review and the resolution of contractual issues. They will work closely with Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors, Heads of Service and operational leads to identify risks, address areas of underperformance and develop appropriate recovery and improvement plans.

The role will include responsibility for ensuring that reporting arrangements are in place to meet contractual and commissioned requirements, including quality schedules and other relevant performance returns. The postholder will also contribute to business planning, tender development, service redesign and strategic projects, supporting the organisation to respond effectively to commissioning intentions and emerging opportunities.

In addition, the postholder will establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to partnership working, service improvement and organisational development across the wider health and care system.

You will bring significant experience in contract, commissioning, planning or business management within a complex environment, along with excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.

You will be confident working with senior stakeholders, managing competing priorities, solving problems and influencing positive change. A strong understanding of performance management, business planning and partnership working is essential, as well as the ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines.
