The Continuous Improvement Support Officer will play a key role in supporting organisational development, service improvement activity and the delivery of strategic priorities across the Service. Working closely with departments and managers across LFR, the successful candidate will help identify opportunities for improvement, support change initiatives and promote a culture of learning, innovation and best practice.

The successful candidate will support the coordination and monitoring of improvement activities, helping to ensure projects and initiatives are aligned to organisational priorities and deliver measurable benefits. They will contribute to the sharing of best practice across the Service, supporting collaboration between departments and promoting a positive culture that embraces continuous improvement and organisational learning.

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager and relevant strategic lead, the post holder will provide timely updates on improvement activity, emerging risks and areas for development. As part of a collaborative and supportive working environment, the individual will contribute to wider organisational change and help influence positive outcomes for staff, partners and the communities we serve.

Please be advised that the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 now includes the requirement for Fire and Rescue Service employees to have a standard DBS check as a minimum. This legislation change applies to all Fire Services across the country and the process aims to help safeguard colleagues and communities. This role will require an enhanced DBS check., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
