Contact Officer

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Contact Officer, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration., The Family Gateway Contact Officer will work as part of the Family Gateway Team within Cardiff Council's Family Advice & Support Protection Hub (FASPH), providing high-quality information, advice and assistance to families and professionals. The role involves managing and coordinating multiple referrals without carrying a caseload, ensuring families receive appropriate support at the right level and at the right time.

Responsibilities:

Provide information, advice and assistance to families, professionals and partner agencies.

Manage and coordinate multiple referrals and ensure appropriate support is identified.

Assess information received and identify the most appropriate level of support for families.

Recognise when an individual or family may be at risk and seek appropriate advice and support.

Experience working with babies, children, young people and families.

Experience of providing information, advice or support to individuals and families.

Experience of building effective working relationships with a diverse range of people and professional partners.

Good understanding of the needs and wellbeing of children, young people and families.

Experience using Microsoft packages and/or case management systems.
