Consultant / Senior Ecologist

We are looking for a Consultant/Senior Ecologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on a variety of projects while supporting and developing colleagues, building strong client relationships, and contributing to our growing reputation for high-quality ecological consultancy.

While this role is based in our London office, we welcome applications from candidates across the UK who are interested in working with MKA Ecology, and flexible working arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
Degree in ecology or a closely related subjectAt least 5 years' experience in ecology, including project and line managementDeveloping field skills in line with the CIEEM Competency FrameworkStrong knowledge of key environmental legislation and policyExcellent report writing and IT skills and experience of reviewing reportsCIEEM membership at the appropriate levelGIS and database management skillsExperience building client relationshipsExperience with Ecological Impact AssessmentsPostgraduate qualification in ecology or related subjectSpecialism in ornithology, bats, or other protected species/groupsRecent EPS licence holderSkills to contribute to our growing habitat creation portfolioExperience with Environmental Impact Assessment would be desirable.
