Consultant / Senior Consultant, Corporate Tax

• Ownership and development of existing UK and international client relationships and cultivation of new relationships
• Audit of tax of some of the largest clients of the firm
• Management of complex compliance clients requiring consideration of the impact of legislative areas such as Corporate Interest Restriction and Controlled Foreign Companies, amongst others.
• Support senior team members and subject matter specialists in communication, marketing and delivery of a range of Advisory services to clients
• Development of the technical and operational skill set of junior team members
• Managing and overseeing compliance and advisory projects, with regards to managing client and statutory deadlines, billing requirements and delegating effectively to your team
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
• You will be a confident team player and enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise with others, as well as continuing to build your own technical expertise.
• Your responsibilities will include managing more junior members of the team within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
• As part of your role, you will receive continuous on the job training, including direct interaction with the Partners, Directors and Associate Directors in our team, as well as extensive opportunities to interact with our clients and targets.
  
  Experience in a practice firm
• ICAEW or CTA qualifications (or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills - both written and oral obtained from experience in a Tax role
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
• Strong client engagement experience obtained from experience in a Tax role
• Able to take ownership and use initiative to resolve problems
• Ability to exercise appropriate level of judgement
• Drive and spirit to succeed and exceed our clients' expectations and a positive approach to personal development
• Strong business acumen and commercial awareness obtained from experience in a Tax role
• Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment rapidly and to respond to clients appropriately in this context
• Good team player with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels
• Experience of delegation and interest and skills to develop more junior members of the team

Tax Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.
