Full Job Description

  • Contributing to the development of new service offerings and client solutions, working alongside senior colleagues to identify and shape opportunities across the tax transparency and operational tax agenda.
  • Delivering high-quality advice that helps reduce our clients' tax risk and enables them to strike the right balance between the cost and quality of their tax compliance obligations - spanning areas such as FATCA, CRS, QI, CESOP, CARF and Withholding Tax.
  • Acting as the day-to-day point of contact for client delivery teams, taking ownership of your workstreams and ensuring delivery of our clients' tax obligations to a high standard and on time.
  • Managing and supporting delivery teams - including colleagues in our global delivery centres - taking responsibility for the quality of work produced within your engagements and helping to develop the skills of more junior team members.
  • Playing an active role in developing the team, supporting the career progression of Analysts and contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team culture that reflects Deloitte's values.
  • Supporting business development activity, including contributing to proposals, attending client meetings, and helping to develop new service propositions in a market that is constantly evolving.
  • Engaging with cutting-edge technology and change management projects, working alongside specialists to deliver next generation regulatory and compliance solutions for some of the world's largest financial institutions.

    Technical tax expertise - specific knowledge of FATCA, CRS, Operational Taxes or Withholding Tax whilst desired, is not required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, regulators and colleagues across tax, technology and financial services.
  • A passion for developing new ideas and an enthusiasm for contributing to business development and the creation of new propositions and service offerings.
  • Project management skills and an ability to manage delivery, prioritise competing demands, delegate effectively and work well within and across teams - these skills are as important to us as technical tax knowledge.
  • Ideal but not essential: Experience of or a strong desire to work on technology and change management projects within a tax, regulatory or financial services context.

Tax Our comprehensive range of services encompasses everything from the completion of tax returns (corporation tax self-assessment) to complex consultancy assignments and strategic tax planning. We advise on corporate and general tax, international M&A, stamp tax, cross-border transfer pricing, reorganisations and reconstructions, and competent authority negotiations.
