Consultant Radiologist with Musculoskeletal (MSK) Interest

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is delighted to advertise a substantive Consultant Radiologist post with a specialist interest in Musculoskeletal Radiology to join our existing motivated and dynamic team across this large, developing and aspirational Trust. This is a combination of replacement posts within the Adults' Radiology clinical service within the Division of Imaging., The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of over 50 Consultant Radiologists in Adults' Radiology clinical service, providing a full range of imaging services to the local population and tertiary level services across Greater Manchester region and beyond. Adults' Radiology is the largest department within the Division of Imaging, and our Consultant team provides a full range of general and specialist imaging for Adult patients across our 3 Acute and 2 non-acute hospital sites., Subspecialty The successful candidate will join our existing team of 10 MSK Radiologists providing services across our 3 major acute sites and CDCs. The MSK radiology team provides diagnostic and interventional support to a large number of surgical and medical colleagues in teams across the trust. This includes:

• Orthopaedic surgical services
• Regional sarcoma service through the successful GMOSS collaboration.
• Rheumatology services.
• Tertiary level genetic services
• MSK and Haematological Cancer services including MDTs
• Adult medical services, including Endocrinology (which includes tertiary level metabolic bone service)
• Regional MDTs & services including Neurofibromatosis 1 & 2 services and Proton Beam therapy.
  
  The successful applicant should be competent at reporting MSK CT, USS radiographs and MR, and competent with MSK intervention including USS guided injections and arthrograms. Experience of soft tissue and bone biopsies is desirable. The successful candidate should have experience of leading and presenting in MSK MDTs.
