Consultant Radiographer

This role carries significant clinical autonomy and leadership responsibility, including:

• Acting as a Responsible Assessor for the NHS Breast Screening Programme, demonstrating sound knowledge of NHSBSP QA guidelines and KPI's.
• Leading MDT discussions and presenting complex cases
• Supervising trainees and advanced practitioners
• Driving research, audit, and service development initiatives
• Contributing to strategic decisions and clinical governance
• Participation in self audit and reflection on personal image interpretation performance.
  
  A Master's Degree in Breast Imaging and HCPC registration
• Extensive experience in breast ultrasound, clinical examination, interventional procedures and film reading
• Proven ability to lead, teach and innovate within a multidisciplinary team environment
• A passion for patient-centred care and continuous improvement
Our unit regularly performs Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM) and we are working towards delivering a comprehensive CEM biopsy service. Prior experience of CEM is advantageous but not essential. A Masters level qualification in reporting breast MRI is desirable.
