Full Job Description
Experteer Overview In this role you will share responsibility for delivering psychiatric services to children and young people in the Selby area, working alongside another consultant and a MDT. You will manage a substantive caseload and conduct new assessments, with a model of co-working to provide high-quality, evidence-based care. You will help navigate referrals from schools and families, contributing to early intervention and the regional mental health pathway. The post is embedded in a trust focused on improving regional wellbeing and collaborative care. Pay / Benefits
- Provide psychiatric input for presentations from secondary and feeder primary schools in the Selby sector Hold a substantial caseload (~100) and assess around 2 new cases per week Co-work with MDT, care coordinators and lead professionals to deliver integrated care Share responsibility with a colleague for delivery of psychiatric services to children and young people in the Selby area Contribute to service development and adherence to TEWV Clinical Pathways Participate in governance, teaching, and quality improvement activities Support service changes and lead in areas as agreed within the MDT Tasks MB BS or equivalent medical qualification Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of gaining CCT Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months Excellent knowledge in specialty and clinical skills with bio-psycho-social approach Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Key requirements
