Full Job Description
The primary purpose of this role is to deliver outstanding clinical care to patients referred to the hospital, ensuring they receive compassionate, evidence-based treatment tailored to their individual needs. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help provide holistic, person-centred care that supports recovery, wellbeing, and positive long-term outcomes. You will take clinical responsibility for a defined patient caseload, leading key aspects of care delivery, including multidisciplinary ward rounds, risk assessments and reviews, strategic care planning, and the development of a safe, therapeutic, and recovery-focused environment. As part of your responsibilities, you will also fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician for patients detained under the Mental Health Act 1983, providing clinical leadership and ensuring the highest standards of care, governance, and legal compliance.
Applicants must hold MRCPsych (or an equivalent qualification), a CCT (or equivalent) and be included on the GMC Specialist Register, along with Section 12(2) approval and Approved Clinician status. Candidates should also have evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.,

- A collaborative and proactive team player with a strong commitment to multidisciplinary working, contributing effectively to assessment, formulation, treatment planning, and patient management.
- Demonstrable experience working within inpatient mental health services, providing care and treatment for individuals with complex and severe mental health needs.
- Proven ability to provide clinical leadership within multidisciplinary teams, supporting high-quality, recovery-focused, and patient-centred care.
- Excellent communication, decision-making, and risk management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic clinical
