Consultant Psychiatrist

We want a Consultant Psychiatrist who can deliver the highest quality of clinical care to our patents and carers. The post holder will be required to work in partnership at both strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders. The post holder will need to ensure that people who use services, carers and advocates are treated with respect and dignity You will provide excellent clinical leadership and actively develop your team along with expert advice to our hospital and community specialists, managers and directors on what is needed to deliver excellent care and to develop future strategic directions. The consultant has a continuing responsibility for the care of patients and for the proper functioning of the department. The consultant will liaise with the general practitioners, hospital and community specialists and other agencies wherever relevant. You will engage with the development of your Job Plan., We are now seeking to recruit Consultant Psychiatrists to join our community mental health services on a full time or part time basis. • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
• MRC Psych or equivalent
• Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
• Included on the GMC Specialist Register or equivalent within 6 months of the interview date
• Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
• Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
• , Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management

• In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice, Clinical expertise in specialty / sub specialty
• Excellence clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge

For all substantive roles, new staff (excluding medical staff) are appointed subject to a 6-month probationary period (see Probation Policy). All jobs will require permission to work in the UK.
