Consultant Paediatrician - Paediatric A&E

We are currently looking to recruit a Consultant with a specialist interest in paediatric accident and emergency care and/or ambulatory care, the appointee will be responsible for the smooth, efficient and effective running of the Paediatric Emergency Department at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children (QMHC)., The principal duty of this post is to provide a comprehensive clinical service to patients.
1. To provide consultant-level care in paediatric A&E.
2. To support the effective and efficient running of the department.
3. To provide regular paediatric resuscitation training for paediatric staff, in liaison with the resuscitation department.
4. To contribute to the development and implementation of cross-site paediatric A&E protocols.
5. To comply at all times with the GMC's guidance on Good Medical Practice.
6. To ensure patient confidentiality is upheld at all times.
7. To undertake duties as defined in the attached job plan, subject to agreement with the Clinical Director.
8. To be responsible and managerially accountable for the reasonable and effective use of Trust resources, and professionally accountable to the Medical Director.
9. To attend the Trust's Corporate Induction (or Consultant Induction) on commencement.
10. To participate in all Statutory and Mandatory training programmes.
11. To provide clinical management for inpatients and outpatients under your care.
