Full Job Description

We are looking for a Consultant Paediatrician to work in both acute care and the delivery of general paediatric outpatient care for children. This represents an exciting opportunity to join an established Paediatric Consultant team working at Queen Elizabeth hospital Gateshead., The post has up to 8.5PAs available which includes contributing to the general Paediatric service with some daytime support of the acute service, general Paediatric outpatient clinics and participating in the acute Paediatric consultant on-call rota at the QE Gateshead. Participating in the acute Paediatric consultant on-call rota would include covering the 8 cot Level 1 SCBU as well as general Paediatrics.

Candidates must hold the MRCPCH (UK) or equivalent qualification and have CCT in General Paediatrics or be in an approved training program within 6 months of expected CCT date at time of interview.

Based in the North East of England we provide a range of hospital and community health services from our leading facilities, including the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Blaydon urgent care centre and Bensham Hospital, all within Gateshead.
