Consultant Paediatric Perinatal Pathology

We are looking to appoint a WTE Consultant Histopathologist - Paediatric & Perinatal Pathology. Based at the Sheffield Children's Hospital.

SYB Histopathology is transitioning to primary Digital reporting and applications from digitally trained pathologists are welcome. We would welcome applications from candidates across the full spectrum of experience, from those who have recently completed training to those who have well-established careers.

Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues., The appointee will, together with consultant colleagues, be responsible for the provision of paediatric/perinatal autopsy service, including, by agreement, paediatric medico-legal autopsies on behalf of HM Coroner, and paediatric surgical pathology.

The appointee will fully contribute to the paediatric and perinatal autopsy rota. The post holder will be expected to attend and contribute to appropriate Clinical-pathological meetings and case discussions, and to liaise with clinical colleagues to ensure a high quality diagnostic service. regardless of the source.
